Investment in the Construction and Operation of the First Mechanized Grain Silo at Imam Khomeini Port
The project of investing in the construction of the first 170,000-ton mechanized grain silo at Imam Khomeini Port is one of the major projects among the country’s ports. For the first time, it is defined with an operational volume of over three million tons per year, featuring mechanized transfer of grains from two berths to the silo complex as one of its key characteristics.
This substantial investment, known as Terminal No. 4 of Imam Khomeini Port, comprises two main sections: the provision and operation of equipment, and the construction of silos and transfer lines.
Equipment and Facilities of Terminal No. 4 at Imam Khomeini Port
- 5 grain unloading towers with a capacity of 600 tons per hour
- Mechanized grain transfer route with a length of 1,660 meters
- Grain storage silos with a total capacity of 170,000 tons
- 4 truck scales of 60 tons connected to the customs system
- Annual operational capacity of 3 million tons of grain
- Equipped with a CCTV system and access control for monitoring entry and exit
